Meet the presenters
Jane Blair
JANE BLAIR is a sculptor. She founded ArtMatters in 2001 to share her enthusiasm and love of art.
She has a BFA from Boston University and a MFA from University of Illinois.
She has been an art educator in many fine art studio disciplines as well as Art History, Art Appreciation, Computer Art, Photography, and Graphic Illustration. She is married to fellow art lover and artist, Wilber Blair and they have a daughter Rebekah who is very excited to be joining the ArtMatters team.
A miniature black poodle named Emma is the true power behind the throne.
Beth Knaus
BETH KNAUS has enjoyed being a presenter for ArtMatters for over 12 years. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and three children.
When she’s not giving audiences the wonderful chance to learn
from looking at art, she works as a freelance writer.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, and being with her family.
Cathy Lipson
CATHY LIPSON joined ArtMatters in 2012. She divides her time between three creative passions: sharing her love of art by presenting for ArtMatters, representing a designer clothing line, and mentoring a high school robotics team.
Cathy lives in the Boston area with her husband Gary and her son Dan,
who is studying mechanical engineering at WPI.
Mary Lou Hannon
MARY LOU HANNON joined ArtMatters in 2010. Her lifelong interest in art was enhanced while living in England and visiting art museums throughout Europe. Upon returning to the Boston area, she became a coordinator for her local Art Docent Program, a volunteer position she has held for the past 18 years.
Mary Lou lives with her husband and has two sons.
Her interest in art is only rivaled by her passion for horses.
Regina Sullivan
REGINA SULLIVAN is thrilled to be joining the ArtMatters family.
She has fostered a love of drawing and painting since childhood.
While enjoying a long and rewarding career as a pediatric nurse,
she also completed a certificate program in drawing and painting studies
at the Rhode Island School of Design. Now, Regina welcomes the opportunity to nurture her own creativityand share her love of art with others through the ArtMatters program.
Sarah Anne Pompeo
SARAH ANNE POMPEO is excited to join the ArtMatters team.
She has an MBA in Business Management, a BA in Sociology/Death and Dying and certifications in Dementia Care. Sarah’s 35 year passion for ballet and the performing arts has transformed into a deep appreciation of the visual arts.
She has decided to combine her educational background in dementia and
long-term care with her love of the arts through the ArtMatters program.
Sarah lives south of Boston with her husband and two children.
She is also co-owner of Imported Foods, a specialty food distributer.
Donna Maxwell
DONNA MAXWELL is delighted to be joining ArtMatters. She has recently retired from teaching art in the Framingham Public Schools and is excited to be able to continue sharing her passion for art with a whole new audience, adults! She has enjoyed making art of all kinds for as long as she can remember.
Donna holds a BA in Art History and Education from Framingham State University. She lives locally with her husband Ken and has 2 grown sons.
Her passions include spending time in the great outdoors with her family, baking, writing, and sewing.
Bekah Blair
REBEKAH BLAIR joined the ArtMatters team in 2014 as Business Manager and Marketing Director. She received her Masters in Social Work from Simmons College and is eager to share her love of the arts with older adult populations. She is a dance teacher/choreographer and the proud owner of
Masters Dance Academy, her own dance studio in Norwood, MA.
